Quite surprisingly, it was a non-rainy day. I'd taken a day off to attend the Another Friday Night at Jersey Freeze geocaching event, so I had most of the day to find geocaches on the way to the event.

The most interesting one was "CJCC: Romeo". It is a two-stage geocache at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown. The twist is the first stage is the cache container without the log book. To sign the log, you have to find it in the Horticultural Library. There was a set of colored pencils with the log book so I drew something in there. I may post a picture of it later since art from me seems to be very rare lately. :)

Another interesting cache today was "Lame Guardrail Cache". It's a puzzle cache with a simple Physics problem. I still knew enough Physics to calculate the trajectory... well, okay, I found the formula on the web and plugged in the numbers. :) However, when I actually went to that area, it seemed that there was only one likely spot in that whole place so I could've gotten it just by fudging the coordinates.

And finally, I went to Jersey Freeze in Freehold for the event. Jersey Freeze is a local burger and ice cream establishment that was supposed to close but somehow remained open for another summer. I had a shrimp and cod basket. Yes, I was surprised that they had seafood and that it was actually good. Overall, this event was a small but nice gathering.

The caches... )
