Friday Flower Surprise

Did some yardwork today. It was the first weeding and mowing of the season. It was remarkable how quickly the grass grew once the snow went away. From flat to half a foot just like that. Here's a surprise: I have daffodils! These plants must have been dormant through the fall and winter because I only noticed the shoots and flowers today. Also, it seems likely that the daffodils spread by seeds from the neighbor's daffodil patch as neither I nor the previous homeowner planted them. So it's zero-effort cultivation.

Nothing right now, unless my life includes Federal debt.

What was the occasion for your receiving your last gift basket, and what was in it?
I don't remember the last time I got one. It must have been a long time ago.

When could you last have been described as a basket case?
Mentally ill? I won't self-diagnose. :)
