Twelve Days till Christmas
Dec. 14th, 2010 02:16 amCloudy, 36°F and down to 23°F at the last geocache site of the night. I'd planned on attending the "Twelve Days till Christmas" geocaching event in Souderton this evening. I used the no-toll local route and geocached my way up through Lower Gwynedd, Spring House, Lansdale, Montgomeryville, and Hatfield. This is not the same route as the one I used the last time I went to Souderton, so I had a lot of geocaches to pick from.
In the evening, I headed over to Pizza Hut in Souderton for the geocaching event. It was a small gathering this time. We used only a few tables. I had the pizza buffet, of course, which included pizza, pasta and salad, dessert pizza, more salad bar items, and potato sticks. This time, since we were there up until the buffet closed, they let us take home some of the leftover pizza. I filled a takeout box with pizza slices and that should be good enough for lunch or dinner tomorrow.
After the event, it was brutally cold and windy but I did a few geocaches anyway. In particular, since I asked the cache owner about "309 & Turnpike TB Motel" and he confirmed that it is doable at night, I went and found it. It's on a slightly different but also toll-free route home.
