Sunny. 32-34°F. Since it's a bit warmer this weekend than last weekend, I decided to do some longer hikes in Eagle Rock and South Mountain. Okay, it wasn't that warm but I went ahead and did those anyway and I didn't get too cold along the way.

Met two people today. First person was a guy in a pickup truck at South Mountain. He wanted to talk about geocaching because he'd seen some geocachers looking around near the park road. He'd also spotted the cache owner so he's surprisingly observant. (And doing better than me because I haven't met the cache owner myself.) So okay, I showed him the two locations on the map and showed him the special themed buttons I'd gotten from the caches. He thought the buttons were neat. Second person I ran into was Sparrows Gold at the "Diamond In The Rough" cache site. By coincidence, we were both going for the cache at the same time.

The last cache was in Edison, so I took the opportunity to have some Chinese New Year food at the nearby Penang Malaysian restaurant. Yu Sang (I would spell it "yee sang" myself but that's how it is on their New Year special menu) is a dish where you have raw fish and an assortment of colorful ingredients and you mix it all up. I also had duck noodles in herbal soup from the regular menu. For comparison, take a look at the picture on this blog article about a well-known duck noodles spot in Malaysia. Yes, I've been there too.
