Central Jersey
Nov. 2nd, 2008 01:57 amWarmer day than most of the week. Sunny and 63°F. I went geocaching in Central Jersey because I was planning to go to Rainforest Cafe afterwards to use my birthday coupon, which had been sitting in my bag o' coupons for more than a month. It was a fine day to walk in the woods. With one possible exception, all of today's cache sites were pretty good.
At "The Ol' Swimming Hole", I had a little trouble finding the final part of the cache so I headed back to the first stage to check my information. Along the way, BigA800 saw me and called out to me. That was fortunate because he had cache information that was more up-to-date than mine. There was apparently an overnight correction in the formula for deriving the coordinates. Anyway, we chatted for a while and headed our separate ways.
After the last cache, which was in East Brunswick, I headed back up US-1 to Menlo Park Mall for Rainforest Cafe. I hardly ever go to that themed restaurant because the food is unremarkable and a bit pricey, and the attraction is mostly in the jungle decor and sounds. The restaurant was pretty busy (Recession? What recession?) but there was no wait for a table. I had the catfish platter.
