Western NJ (Route 57) and Lehigh Valley
Aug. 17th, 2008 02:41 amSunny day. 80 - 85°F. Went to Easton/Nazareth in the Lehigh Valley again, hitting a bunch of geocaches along or near Route 57 in Western NJ on my way there. There were a couple of good hikes today -- unnamed wooded area (may be part of Allamuchy), Mansfield Recreation Park, and Jacobsburg State Park -- each with 2 or 3 geocaches on the same trail or trail loop.
Dinner was at Long John Silver's in Easton. I'm apparently now a regular there. The cashier knew what I was going to order before I said it. I was going to fill up at the Phillipsburg Wawa on my way home but the gas gauge was only down to the 7/8 level, so I didn't think it was worth stopping to pump in a mere 2 or 3 gallons. However, as I found out a bit later, at $3.49 for regular, they were only 2 cents/gallon cheaper than one of the gas stations back home.
