I hadn't done anything to TwitVim for two months but today, I put in a whole raft of improvements. Why? Because Twitter start working pretty well recently and raised the API limits, making it possible to do some client development work. Also, I noticed that they had enabled pagination in the Twitter API. And, just to round things out, I added support for bit.ly and is.gd. I won't add support for urlBorg until later because there's the matter of their API requiring an API key, which is a new wrinkle for a URL shortener.
Steve and Barry's filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday. I figured their $8.98 shoes were too good a deal to be sustainable. :) However, when household budgets are getting stretched by energy and food costs, you know it's a tough environment for retail in general. Anyway, I already have a few pairs of their discount shoes and I'm good for a while.
Also, today was Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. I didn't get one though because I wasn't passing anywhere near a 7-Eleven today and it wasn't worth going out of my way for a 7-oz Slurpee. (That's the small size, I believe.) It would be easier if I was on Long Island, where there are 7-Eleven stores everywhere.
