Va Beach Day #3
Sep. 18th, 2002 12:22 amIn contrast to yesterday's rain, it was a sunny day today. Yet another day of extending geocache find coverage in the area. Cached in Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News... even started on York.
If there was a theme today, it would be longer walks because of technicalities. Two of the parks did not have parking at the entrance so it was necessary to park somewhere else and walk there. (Who wants to walk on the road... bah!) One park had the most convoluted trail imaginable and bushwhacking was inadvisable because of snakes, or so the sign at the beginning stated. One cache would be a very short walk if a highway (168 bypass) were not in the way. On the other hand, I found very close parking for several other caches so I guess it balances out.
Notable cache items: A Tiger Golf (an obvious play on a certain celebrity) plush toy. Very cute. Also, a traveling cache containing Mac CDs that I found sitting in one of the caches.
